Kantha Quilt No. 5

Made from layers of vintage sari cloth, stitched together by hand using a centuries-old running stitch technique, kantha blankets are the kind of thing you don't so much buy as inherit. Each one carries the softly wavy texture, vibrant colour, and history of the fabrics it was born from.

Because every blanket is crafted from repurposed textiles, no two are the same. The visible stitching, the mix of patterns, the visible signs of age, these aren't imperfections. They're the whole point. A reminder that the most interesting things in a home tend to have a little story behind them.
